Job Description

Philips is a leading health technology company dedicated to improving the lives of billions of people worldwide by providing access to quality healthcare. At Philips, we believe that every human matters, and we are committed to ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible to everyone, everywhere. With a rich history rooted in innovation and a culture that values purpose and excellence, Philips continually strives to transform healthcare through advanced technology and meaningful solutions. Our teams are passionate about making a real difference in health outcomes, driven by a shared mission to improve quality of life at a global scale.

The role of Senior Design Quality Engineer at Philips is a critical position located in several key offices including Bothell WA, Cambridge MA, Reedsville PA, Plymouth MN, and San Diego CA. This is an office-based role where the candidate will work at least three days a week on-site to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. As a Senior Design Quality Engineer, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team that embraces the challenges of quality transformation with strong technical expertise and unwavering resilience. We are looking for a perfectionist—a fixer—who inherently prioritizes quality above all else and demonstrates a relentless pursuit of excellence not just as a job, but as a lifestyle.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing independent oversight of the entire product life cycle to ensure hardware system quality and safety risk management. You will play a vital role in overseeing design input processes, design verification and validation activities, design transfer, and product realization to guarantee that design requirements are fully met and maintained throughout the product lifespan. By acting as the single point of contact for assigned project teams, you will ensure the hardware design complies with quality and regulatory standards at every project milestone. Your expertise will also be applied to performing technical assessments on product quality and conducting post-market product quality analyses to identify areas for improvement.

Philips offers a competitive salary range depending on location, with positions in Bothell and Cambridge ranging from $103,000 to $145,000 annually, in Reedsville from $103,000 to $130,000, in Plymouth from $103,000 to $136,000, and in San Diego from $103,000 to $145,000. Compensation is influenced by factors such as experience, skills, business needs, and internal equity, and may include additional incentives such as annual bonuses and long-term rewards. Candidates also benefit from Philips’ comprehensive Total Rewards program featuring generous paid time off, a 401k plan with matching contributions, health savings account contributions, stock purchase options, education reimbursement, and more.

This position requires US work authorization, and relocation assistance is not provided, so candidates must reside in or near the relevant office locations. Philips fosters an inclusive, equal employment opportunity environment including support for individuals with disabilities and veterans, and maintains a drug-free workplace.
