The position available is for a Senior Culinary Supervisor at Austin Peay State University, a role designed for those passionate about food service and leadership. This full-time position requires someone with open availability to cover any shifts as necessary. As a Senior Culinary Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing daily food operations which may include fast casual dining, coffee/counter service, cafeterias, events, banquets, casual dining, and cafes. Your responsibilities will involve providing support and guidance to food service employees, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation in alignment with Sodexo's standards for quality and safety. You will assist management in coordinating routine work activities and ensure that all food service areas operate seamlessly to meet customer satisfaction.
In this supervisory role, you will contribute to fostering a safe and supportive work environment for all employees. Duties include facilitating employee orientation and training, assisting with problem-solving related to food quality or service issues, and maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality. You will be working closely with customers and team members, demonstrating strong interpersonal and leadership skills to enhance the dining experience for university students and staff.
The ideal candidate will be team-oriented and adaptable, with at least two years of related work experience in a food service environment. Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory, as the role also offers opportunities for ongoing training, development, and career advancement within Sodexo’s network. - minimum 2 years of related work experience
