Job Description

Latitude is a leading flexible legal talent company headquartered in Austin, Texas, specializing in connecting top-tier legal professionals with corporate legal departments and law firms across the United States. Established in 2013, Latitude has built a strong reputation for providing highly skilled former in-house counsel and Big Law attorneys for contract engagements and permanent legal positions. The company is recognized globally for its expertise in a wide range of legal practice areas, including commercial contracting, data privacy, mergers and acquisitions, employment law, and litigation. Latitude's clients range from Fortune Global 100 companies to innovative start-ups, and from Global 50 law firms to smaller boutique firms, underscoring its versatile and deep network in the legal industry.

This position is for a Senior Paralegal specializing in Corporate and Trade matters, offered on a part-time contract basis for a duration of 4 to 6 months. The opportunity is provided by a prominent publicly traded technology company located in Austin, Texas, which operates on a global scale. The company is known for its dynamic and innovative approach to technology and maintains a stellar in-house legal department that supports a variety of business initiatives. This role is hybrid, requiring some presence in the downtown Austin office, combined with remote work flexibility, ideally suited for professionals seeking a balance between in-person collaboration and remote efficiency.

The Senior Corporate Paralegal will provide critical legal support on corporate transactions and trade compliance issues. This position demands a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can navigate complex legal requirements, manage intellectual property, oversee trade compliance documentation, assist with the company’s philanthropic programs, and contribute to the administration of commercial agreements. The role requires regular interaction with internal corporate teams as well as external clients, vendors, and legal counsel, offering a richly varied workload where no two weeks are alike. The team values individuals who demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow, preferring a candidate’s initiative and potential over a perfect match to the job description.

Compensation for the Senior Corporate Paralegal ranges between $110,000 and $140,000 annually when calculated on a full-time basis, with pay for the part-time contract role calibrated according to experience, qualifications, and market demand. The selected candidate will benefit from competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package that includes professional liability insurance, group medical, dental, and vision insurance, group life insurance, long-term and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, a qualified 401k plan, and stipends for continuing legal education and professional expenses. Latitude values confidentiality and ensures candidates’ privacy, only sharing their information with prior consent.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside highly skilled attorneys and paralegals within a forward-thinking legal team. The contract is temporary but impactful, supporting high-profile corporate initiatives and providing professional growth in intellectual property management, trade compliance, and corporate legal affairs. The Senior Corporate Paralegal will play a pivotal role in facilitating the legal processes that support the company's business goals and philanthropic commitments, making a meaningful contribution to the legal department’s success and to the broader corporate mission.
