Job Requirements
- minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- at least 2 years of line cook experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- basic understanding of inventory and food safety protocols
- knowledge of Texas state food safety regulations
- ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-unit operation
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- ability to train and lead team members in the absence of culinary leadership
Job Qualifications
- minimum of 2 years line cook experience or equivalent
- certified professional food manager certification preferred
- knowledge of HACCP and ServSafe standards
- experience in training new team members
- ability to manage multiple food stations
- strong knowledge of food safety and preparation
- experience assisting in inventory and ordering processes
Job Duties
- prepare and cook food at all kitchen stations to meet Universal standards
- monitor line cooks for proper food safety practices
- perform line cook duties including opening and closing procedures
- interact with guests as needed
- ensure proper use of personal protective equipment
- maintain station cleanliness
- comply with Texas HACCP program and ServSafe certification
- train new team members in food safety and food preparation standards
- assist sous chef with workflow and priority management of line cooks
- support ordering, receiving, inventory, and accounting for spoilage and temperature logs
- ensure preparations align with established recipes and portion specifications
- support culinary leadership to optimize operational efficiency and labor
- participate in environmental, health, and safety responsibilities
- perform other duties as assigned
