We are currently hiring immediately for a full-time Senior Cook position at Saint John Fisher University, located at 3690 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618. This role offers a competitive pay range of $22.00 to $24.00 per hour and is designed for candidates who have prior food service experience and a strong commitment to quality food preparation and safety standards. The Senior Cook position involves preparing nutritious and flavorful meals in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies and HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety and quality.
This position operates on a full-time schedule with varying days and hours, including some evenings and weekends. Additional details regarding scheduling will be provided during the interview process. The Senior Cook will have supervisory responsibilities for cooking activities among food service associates and will play an important role in maintaining meticulous daily production records, cleaning and operating kitchen equipment, and adhering to sanitation procedures. The position is essential in helping maintain the orderly storage of food items and ensuring compliance with all food safety policies, making it a vital role within the food service team.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior food service experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local food safety regulations
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to cooking and cleaning
- Must be able to maintain sanitation standards
- Ability to document and maintain production records accurately

Job Duties
- Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director
- Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment after each use
- Perform scheduled routine cleaning
- Store, label and date food items according to policy
- Help maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
