We are currently seeking full-time Senior Cook professionals to join the team at the CIC Food Hall located at 1525 West WT Harris Boulevard, Charlotte, NC. This position involves working primarily the morning shift, Monday through Friday. Salary ranges from $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, reflecting the experience and skill level brought to the role, with internal employee referral bonuses available. The Senior Cook’s primary responsibility is to prepare nutritious and flavorful food items in adherence to federal, state, and company guidelines. Beyond cooking, this role may involve supervising other food service associates as delegated by the Food Service Director. Responsibilities include preparing a variety of entrees and menu items following established recipes, operating kitchen equipment effectively, and ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met. The role also encompasses meticulous food storage practices, inventory organization, and compliance with HACCP guidelines to guarantee food safety. Additionally, the Senior Cook supports the Food Service Director by maintaining accurate production records and documentation, as well as assisting in employee training initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Two or more years of cooking experience
  • Ability to work full time morning shift Monday through Friday
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to operate and clean kitchen equipment
  • Capability to follow HACCP food safety guidelines
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cooking and kitchen maintenance

Job Qualifications

  • Two or more years of cooking experience
  • Ability to supervise and train food service associates
  • Knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety standards
  • Experience in operating and cleaning kitchen equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes

  • Perform scheduled routine cleaning
  • Store, label, and date food items according to policy
  • Maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
  • Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure food quality and safety

  • Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned
  • Assist in cross training of employees
