The Senior Cook position at Bon Appetit is a full-time role based at Porsche, 1 Porsche Drive, Atlanta, GA, offering a competitive pay rate of $22.00 per hour. This role requires candidates to have prior cooking experience, with supervisory and customer service experience considered a plus. The Senior Cook is responsible for preparing and ensuring nutritious, flavorful food items that comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company standards. This position demands strong culinary skills, attention to detail in food preparation and safety, and the ability to assist in overseeing kitchen staff to maintain high standards. Employees work a Monday through Friday schedule with variable hours, and weekend availability is also required.
In this role, the Senior Cook will manage food preparation activities and operations, including cooking various entrees following established recipes, operating and cleaning kitchen equipment, and maintaining proper food storage. The cook plays an integral role in adhering to HACCP guidelines and compliance with hygiene and sanitation regulations to ensure food safety and quality. Additionally, the Senior Cook assists the Food Service Director in documenting daily production activities, training new staff, and supporting overall kitchen operations. Job Duties
- Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director
- Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment after each use
- Perform scheduled routine cleaning
- Store, label and date food items according to policy
- Maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
- Follow HACCP guidelines and comply with health and sanitation regulations
- Assist Food Service Director in maintaining daily production records and completing documentation
- Assist in cross training of employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
