The Senior Cook position at Snap Park Cafe in Santa Monica, CA, is a full-time role that requires a seasoned professional with prior experience in high-volume and fast-paced cooking environments. This role involves preparing nutritious and flavorful food in accordance with all relevant health and safety standards. The Senior Cook is expected to oversee the cooking activities of other food service associates as assigned by the Food Service Director. Responsibilities include preparing various entrees and menu items, following established recipes, maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitation of equipment and workspace, and ensuring food storage meets company policies. The Senior Cook will also assist in maintaining accurate production records, support cross-training efforts, and uphold HACCP guidelines to safeguard food quality and safety. This position works Monday through Friday, with hours that may vary, offering a pay range of $24.00 to $27.00 per hour. Job Duties

  • Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
  • oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director
  • operate and clean equipment after each use
  • perform scheduled routine cleaning
  • store, label and date food items according to policy
  • help maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
  • follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
  • comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and complete all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned
  • assist in the cross training of employees
  • perform other duties as assigned
