Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar cook or food preparation role
- Ability to perform cooking duties including batch cooking from scratch
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Ability to comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations
- Must be able to operate kitchen equipment and perform regular cleaning tasks
Job Qualifications
- Experience in from scratch cooking and batch cooking
- Customer service experience
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain food safety standards
- Experience in operating and cleaning kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety regulations
- Ability to maintain accurate production records
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepare food to ensure it is nutritious and properly flavored in accordance with applicable standards
- Oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned
- Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment after each use
- Perform scheduled routine cleaning and maintain kitchen sanitation
- Store, label, and date food items according to policy
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of the food supply
- Comply with federal, state and local health regulations
- Assist with maintaining production records and complete required documentation
- Assist in cross-training employees
- Perform other related duties as assigned
