Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in healthcare culinary preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying
- Open availability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work under supervision and independently
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience in healthcare culinary preferred
- Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards such as HACCP
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Effective communication skills
- Open availability preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
- Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment after each use
- Perform scheduled routine cleaning
- Store, label and date food items according to policy
- Maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
- Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
- Assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and complete all required documentation
- Assist in the cross training of employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
