This role offers a competitive wage range of $19.00 to $22.00 per hour and requires candidates to have prior batch cooking and catering experience. The shift schedules may vary and require open availability, ensuring flexibility to meet the needs of patient care and service delivery. As a Senior Cook at WakeMed Raleigh, individuals will play a critical role in preparing nutritious, properly flavored food in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies. Responsibilities include preparing a variety of entrees and menu items according to established recipes, overseeing food service associates during cooking activities as delegated by the Food Service Director, and managing kitchen operations such as equipment use, cleaning, and food storage. The Senior Cook will follow HACCP guidelines to maintain food quality and safety, adhere to health and sanitation standards, and assist with documentation and record-keeping related to meal production. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
- oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director
- operate and clean kitchen equipment after each use

- maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
- follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply

- assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate production records and required documentation
- assist in cross training of employees
