The Senior Cook position at Tech Corners Cafe in Sunnyvale, CA, is a highly responsible role ideal for those with expertise in leadership within a kitchen environment. Job Requirements
- Must have station lead experience
- Ability to prepare food to required standards
- Knowledge of pizza and Asian cuisine is a plus
- Ability to create menus or dishes preferred
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- Must adhere to HACCP and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to perform physical tasks required in kitchen environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years cooking experience with station lead responsibilities
- Knowledge of pizza and Asian cuisine preferred
- Ability to create menus and dishes a plus
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work as part of a team and lead others
- Good organizational and documentation skills
- Capacity to work part-time according to scheduled hours
Job Duties
- Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
- Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment after each use
- Perform scheduled routine cleaning tasks
- Store, label, and date food items according to company policy
- Maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
- Comply with health and sanitation regulations
- Assist in cross training employees
- Maintain accurate daily production records and complete necessary documentation
