Sodexo is a globally recognized leader in quality of life services, committed to improving everyday experiences for individuals and communities. Operating across diverse sectors including food service, catering, and facilities management, Sodexo partners with organizations to deliver exceptional, integrated solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. At its core, Sodexo fosters an inclusive, respectful workplace culture that values diversity, encourages innovation, and supports personal and professional growth. With a focus on sustainability and social responsibility, the company strives to make a positive impact economically, socially, and environmentally in all the regions where it operates.

Located at the University of Southern Indiana, Sodexo currently seeks a dedicated Senior Cook to join its dynamic team. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17 to $19, with morning shifts on varying days, providing a flexible schedule tailored to meet both business needs and employee work-life balance. The Senior Cook role is vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, nutritious food options to the university community, including students, faculty, and staff.

As a Senior Cook, you will play an essential role in the preparation and presentation of a wide variety of hot and cold food items across multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered special events. Your expertise in following complex recipes and utilizing advanced cooking techniques will contribute significantly to maintaining Sodexo's standards of excellence. This role not only requires culinary skill but also a warm, customer-oriented approach that enhances the dining experience.

Beyond cooking, the Senior Cook will have opportunities to guide and support kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to safety and hygiene standards. The position demands punctuality, reliability, and a proactive attitude toward tasks and responsibilities. Working with Sodexo means more than just performing job duties—it means contributing to a company culture that values purpose, teamwork, and daily positive impacts.

This opportunity is ideal for seasoned cooks with at least four years of related experience who thrive in a team-oriented environment and are committed to nurturing a healthy, safe workspace. Sodexo supports continuous learning and career advancement, offering access to ongoing training programs that help employees grow within the organization.

In addition to competitive pay, Sodexo provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees' well-being and that of their families. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holidays, tuition reimbursement, retirement savings plans like 401(k), employee discount programs, and more. Depending on the location, additional perks such as free shift meals, uniforms, safety shoes, transportation support, and parking accommodations may also be available.

Sodexo's commitment to inclusion extends to its hiring process and workplace environment, ensuring equal employment opportunities for all individuals regardless of race, gender, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic. Joining Sodexo means becoming part of a team that celebrates diverse perspectives and creates a better everyday for everyone involved.
