This opening is for a Senior Cook position located at the Alaska Airlines Lounge in Seattle (SEA). This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $29 to $31.23. The position requires flexibility in work shifts, including varying schedules and hours, with a preference for candidates who have open availability. As a Senior Cook at Sodexo, you will be a crucial member of the culinary team, responsible not only for preparing and presenting high-quality meals but also for promoting food waste reduction. Your role is essential in ensuring memorable dining experiences through consistent excellence in food preparation, portioning, and presentation across multiple meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of related work experience preferred
  • Ability to work varying shifts with open availability preferred
  • Team-oriented and adaptable mindset
  • Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic

  • Ability to follow complex recipes and adhere to food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 4 or more years of related work experience preferred
  • Proven ability to prepare a diverse range of dishes
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Experience in training or supervising kitchen staff is a plus

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare portion cook and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast lunch dinner and special/catered events
  • Follow complex recipes and/or product directions
  • Produce small to large batch goods using advanced and full range of classical and contemporary cooking plating and garnishing techniques
  • May have oversight over the production staff train and assign tasks
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
