The Senior Cook position at Sodexo, based at the RENOWN SOUTH MEADOWS MEDICAL CENTER, is a full-time opportunity with a stable pay rate of $22.00 per hour. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of cooking experience in a related field
  • Ability to work morning shifts on varying days
  • Must be able to follow complex recipes
  • Capable of overseeing production staff and assigning tasks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain punctuality and regular attendance

  • 4 or more years of related work experience preferred
  • Team-oriented and adaptable

  • Knowledge of classical and contemporary cooking techniques
  • Strong customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • Follow complex recipes and/or product directions
  • Produce small to large batch goods using advanced and full range of classical and contemporary cooking, plating and garnishing techniques
  • May have oversight over the production staff, train and assign tasks
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned, varying by account and business necessities
