As a Senior Cook at SodexoMagic based in the DELTA SKY CLUB - ATL location, you will be an integral part of a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on delivering excellent customer service and high-quality culinary offerings. This full-time position offers a pay rate of $20.00 per hour, primarily consisting of morning shifts with varying days, further details of which are provided during the interview process. The role is ideal for food professionals passionate about nutrition, quality food preparation, and team collaboration.

In your role as a Senior Cook, you will be responsible for creating nutritious dishes and managing food production with a focus on efficiency and minimizing food waste. Your daily duties will encompass preparing and presenting a variety of hot and cold food items for multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. Attention to detail is crucial as you will follow complex recipes and product directions, applying both classical and contemporary cooking, plating, and garnishing techniques.

Beyond food preparation, the Senior Cook may oversee production staff, assisting with training and task assignments to maintain a smooth kitchen operation. Reliability and punctuality are essential as consistent attendance ensures the kitchen operates effectively to meet client needs. The role also includes additional responsibilities that may vary depending on the business necessities and client requirements at the specific site.

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • Follow complex recipes and/or product directions
  • Produce small to large batch goods using advanced and full range of classical and contemporary cooking, plating, and garnishing techniques
  • Oversee production staff, train and assign tasks
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
