The Senior Cook position at Sodexo Live within the Orange County Convention Center is a full-time role with a pay range of $18.50 to $24.00 per hour, offering a variety of shifts with open availability. This role is integral to the culinary team, tasked with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of a wide assortment of food items for different meals such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four or more years of related work experience preferred
  • Ability to follow complex recipes and food preparation instructions
  • Experience in cooking a wide variety of dishes for multiple meal periods
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work any shift with open availability
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four or more years of related work experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards
  • Ability to supervise and train kitchen staff

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • Follow complex recipes and/or product directions
  • Produce small to large batch goods using advanced and full range of classical and contemporary cooking, plating and garnishing techniques
  • Oversee production staff, train and assign tasks
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned, varying by account based on business needs and client requirements
