The role of Senior Convention Services Manager at Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is an integral position within the hotel’s Catering and Convention Services Department. This role focuses on ensuring seamless execution and management of conferences and events, contributing to the hotel's reputation as the city’s most elite venue for social and corporate gatherings. The Senior Convention Services Manager acts as the primary liaison between meeting planners and various hotel departments, coordinating comprehensive details such as food and beverage requirements, audio-visual needs, room setups, transportation, and billing instructions. The position demands meticulous attention to detail to prepare accurate conference resumes, manage client expectations, and achieve high customer satisfaction scores through proactive client engagement and onsite visibility during events.
This role involves a dynamic work environment where flexibility is key, including working weekends and holidays to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation. The manager must collaborate closely with banquet managers and other departments to ensure flawless execution of all functions, from pre-event planning and site inspections to post-event evaluations and billing. Establishing and maintaining strong marketplace positioning within Oklahoma City’s social and corporate communities is also a crucial aspect of the role. Job Duties
- Coordinate all aspects of conferences as assigned including food and beverage requirements, timing of events, audio-visual needs, guest services, room allocation, transportation, billing instructions, and amenities
- Prepare conference resumes ten days prior to group arrival and review details in weekly staff meetings
- Adhere to Catering and Convention Services Department's standard operating procedures
- Maintain hotel's marketplace position within social and corporate communities
- Ensure successful site inspections and client visits by planning and communicating details to departments
- Achieve high Medallia scores through client rapport and onsite event presence
- Generate high revenue from contracted rooms, function spaces, and catered events
