Job Description
Dennis Group is a leading construction and engineering firm specializing in the planning, designing, engineering, and building of food processing plants for top brands both nationwide and globally. With over three decades of focused experience in the food and beverage industry, Dennis Group has established itself as a trusted partner committed to delivering innovative, efficient, and high-quality construction solutions to the sector. Their expert teams are known for their dedication to ensuring that food production facilities meet stringent industry standards and operational requirements. This commitment has helped bring many popular food products to grocery store shelves across the country and around the world.
Joining Dennis Group as a Senior Construction Manager means becoming part of a company passionate about the food industry and deeply invested in excellence and innovation in construction. The role is site-based and involves managing the day-to-day construction operations of projects that focus specifically on the food and beverage process facilities. This position demands collaboration with various engineering teams and architects, as well as the accountability for supervising subcontractors, managing site safety programs, controlling budgets, and ensuring that all projects remain on schedule. With a work cycle of 10 days onsite followed by 4 days off, the successful candidate should expect to travel up to 100% across the USA and potentially Canada, working on medium-sized projects typically lasting between 6 to 12 months. Dennis Group enhances this extensive travel requirement by providing meal and lodging per diems alongside reasonable travel provisions.
In this Senior Construction Manager position, the individual will autonomously handle projects from start to finish, coordinate field engineering and inspection processes, oversee installations of process, mechanical, and utility equipment, and manage permitting, code compliance, and regulatory approvals. They play a vital role in fostering communication and relationships with clients, subcontractors, and architect/engineering teams, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to project scopes and objectives. Beyond technical and operational responsibilities, the role also includes mentoring and coaching junior team members, contributing toward a culture of continuous development within the company.
Dennis Group offers an attractive compensation package coupled with a comprehensive suite of employee benefits. These include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, an open vacation policy, bonuses, profit-sharing, and retirement plans. The company emphasizes equal employment opportunity and strives to maintain a diverse workforce where all applicants receive fair consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or genetic information. This commitment to inclusivity and professional development makes Dennis Group a preferred employer in the construction industry focused on the food and beverage sector, offering career growth in a specialized, challenging, and rewarding environment.
