Job Description
We are a growing, mid-sized commercial general contractor specializing in high-visibility, fast-paced commercial buildouts across the East Coast of the United States. Our core expertise lies in aviation and airport spaces, including concessions, lounges, and terminal upgrades, as well as retail construction projects such as flagship stores, tenant fit-outs, and specialty retail environments. Our company is committed to technical precision, strong subcontractor relationships, and leveraging modern construction technology to deliver complex projects on schedule and under budget. This focus on quality and efficiency has established us as a trusted partner among airport authorities, retail clients, and industry professionals throughout the region.
The role we are currently offering is for an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator based on the East Coast. In this critical position, you will manage the preconstruction process from the initial request for proposal through to the final bid submission, ensuring that all estimates are detailed, competitive, and accurate. You will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, architects, and client representatives to guide each project's financial path, particularly in the niche sectors of retail buildouts and aviation/airport construction. The position demands not only a strong background in commercial estimating but also excellent communication skills and an ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
As a Commercial Construction Estimator, your responsibilities will include performing precise scope takeoffs, obtaining competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, and utilizing Procore’s Estimating and Preconstruction tools to organize bid packages, track subcontractor communications, handle RFIs, and manage project cost data effectively. Maintaining and expanding a network of qualified subcontractors and material suppliers will be essential to ensure full scope coverage and the highest quality bids. Collaboration with clients and design teams through value engineering sessions, budget presentations, and scope alignment meetings will form a key part of your role.
This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $120,000 to $140,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside bi-annual performance and project profitability bonuses. We provide comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance options, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, and hybrid/remote work flexibility for East Coast candidates. Company-provided technology, such as laptops, phone and travel allowances, and full software subscriptions, support our team in delivering excellence. Our workplace culture promotes innovation, precision, and teamwork, making this an exciting opportunity for professionals dedicated to advancing their careers in commercial construction estimating.
