Job Description
LA28 is the independent, non-profit, and privately funded organizing committee tasked with planning and delivering the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The organization is dedicated to creating an Olympic and Paralympic event that truly reflects the vibrant spirit, diversity, and dynamic culture of Los Angeles and the United States. As the host for the Summer Games for the third time and the first time welcoming the Paralympic Games, LA28 is positioned to celebrate a rich legacy while setting new standards for excellence and innovation in the Olympic Movement. This creates a unique and unparalleled platform for community celebration, athletic achievement, and global fellowship.
The Senior Cluster Manager, Event Visitor Services (EVS) role at LA28 is a pivotal leadership position responsible for the operational planning and Games-time execution of Event Visitor Services across a cluster of competition and non-competition venues. This role demands a highly organized and strategic professional capable of integrating EVS requirements with other crucial functional areas including venue management, security, transport, ticketing, accreditation, and spectator experience. The successful candidate will lead a diverse team comprised of FOH managers, deputies, supervisors, team leaders, and volunteers to deliver a safe, efficient, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all Games attendees, ensuring every visitor shares an exceptional experience.
The role involves overseeing complex logistics such as crowd management, spectator flows, ingress and egress strategies, queue and access control, signage, and accessibility accommodations. The Senior Cluster Manager must establish strong operational plans aligned with the broader objectives of the Games while continuously monitoring progress, identifying risks, and executing mitigation strategies to uphold the highest standards of visitor operations. Collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders is critical to synchronize service delivery and respond dynamically to real-time operational challenges during the Games.
Candidates will bring significant experience in large-scale event operations, sports events, or venue management, demonstrating leadership of multi-venue or cluster-based teams in high-pressure environments. Expertise in customer-facing roles that emphasize crowd control, accessibility, and visitor services is essential. The Senior Cluster Manager will be adept at preparing training materials, operational plans, briefings, and reports, and will be expected to apply a proactive approach to issue resolution and continuous improvement. Familiarity with Olympic, Paralympic, or major international event protocols is highly desirable.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience and offers a competitive annual salary range of $110,000 to $130,000. The role requires availability to work onsite at the Downtown Los Angeles office with occasional travel to various venue locations throughout the region. The candidate must be prepared to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during peak operational periods and Games-time. Physical readiness to navigate large venues under various environmental conditions is also necessary.
LA28 values a diverse and inclusive workforce and is committed to fair hiring practices free from discrimination. The organization encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply and supports equitable employment opportunities in compliance with all applicable laws, including the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance. Although LA28 does not provide relocation assistance, it offers a meaningful opportunity to be part of a historic event in an inclusive, dynamic, and forward-thinking team environment.
