Job Description

LA28 is the independent, non-profit, and privately funded organizing committee dedicated to planning and delivering the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This prestigious committee is entrusted with bringing the world’s largest and most celebrated sporting event back to the United States after a 32-year hiatus, marking Los Angeles' third time hosting the Summer Olympics and the first time hosting the Paralympic Games. LA28’s mission is to curate an extraordinary and inclusive Games experience that honors the city’s rich history, diverse culture, and vibrant community while pushing the Olympic and Paralympic Movements into new territories of innovation, engagement, and sustainability. As a carefully structured organization, LA28 combines local expertise with global standards to ensure the Games provide not only a world-class competitive platform for athletes but also an unforgettable experience for fans, partners, and the broader community.

The Senior Cluster Manager, Event Visitor Services (EVS) is a senior operational leadership role within LA28, tasked with overseeing the planning and execution of visitor services across multiple competition and non-competition venues within a designated geographic cluster. This role requires a dynamic leader who can seamlessly integrate EVS functions—such as crowd management, spectator services, access control, and visitor experience—with key operational areas including venue management, security, transport, ticketing, accreditation, and accessibility. The Senior Cluster Manager acts as the primary EVS operational lead, providing direction and coordination to front-of-house teams, including managers, deputies, supervisors, team leaders, and volunteers, to ensure a safe, efficient, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all Games visitors. This position involves strategic and tactical responsibilities, from developing comprehensive operational plans aligned with the Games’ overall objectives to managing high-pressure issues during the Games themselves.

With a salary range of $110,000 to $130,000, this full-time position requires someone who is not only highly organized and detail-oriented but also resilient and adaptable under pressure. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience leading operations for large-scale, complex events; excellent stakeholder management skills; and a passion for fostering accessible and exceptional visitor experiences. Responsibilities include monitoring planning progress, assessing risks and issues, guiding workforce planning and training, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards, and representing the EVS team at various planning meetings. Moreover, the Senior Cluster Manager must lead during Games-time to resolve visitor service challenges and optimize operational flow in real-time. LA28 emphasizes inclusion, integrity, excellence, and boldness, and expects this role to exemplify these values by creating an exceptional atmosphere for all participants and attendees. This role also entails occasional travel to venues around Los Angeles and requires flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays during critical operational periods. LA28 does not provide relocation assistance for this role but offers a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the world's most historic sporting events right in the heart of Los Angeles.
