Job Description
Leidos is a premier industry and technology leader dedicated to serving both government and commercial clients through advanced digital and mission-critical innovations. With its headquarters based in Reston, Virginia, Leidos employs a global workforce of approximately 47,000 professionals and reported annual revenues around $16.7 billion for the fiscal year ending January 3, 2025. The company consistently pioneers next-generation technological solutions that bolster national security and improve operational efficiency across numerous sectors.
At the forefront of Leidos's efforts is their Digital Modernization sector, which focuses on developing cutting-edge technology in areas such as cyber defense, logistics optimization, security operations, and decision intelligence. This sector is charged with designing and implementing mission-critical systems essential for protecting national interests.
The role of Cloud Innovation Solution Engineer within Leidos is a key position based at the C5ISC in Alexandria, Virginia, specifically supporting the United States Coast Guard. This position entails leading cloud initiatives that involve architecting and deploying scalable and secure cloud infrastructure platforms pivotal to the Coast Guard’s operational success. As a senior engineering role, it demands a hands-on approach in cloud architecture design, coding, debugging, mentoring development teams, and integrating automation and DevOps best practices.
An individual in this role will use their expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and UiPath to steer large-scale cloud migration projects, design modernized solutions using containerization and microservices, and ensure the highest standards in cloud security through zero-trust principles and compliance with industry regulations like SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS. Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and presenting technical recommendations to leadership adds a strategic element to this technical role.
The Cloud Innovation Solution Engineer will also play a vital role in facilitating customer onboarding, optimizing cloud application performance, and executing migration methodologies that ensure minimal disruption. This position reflects Leidos's commitment to innovation, security, and operational excellence and offers a competitive salary range between $131,300 and $237,350, underscoring the critical nature of this work. Prospective candidates should be prepared to obtain Public Trust clearance and be part of a dynamic team that disrupts the status quo to deliver impactful national security solutions.
