Job Requirements

  • Experience working with school-age children in recreational or childcare settings
  • Ability to make independent decisions on non-oversight issues
  • Prioritize critical tasks over routine ones
  • Travel up to 100 percent of the workday
  • Ability to spend up to 100 percent of the workday performing program duties
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15 pounds for 25 percent or less of the workday
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for 25 percent or less of the workday
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, or move around for prolonged periods
  • Ability to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn, and reason for 100 percent of the workday
  • Age 18 or older

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of direct experience working with children under 13
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Proof of High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of at least 12 college credits from 100 level or above coursework
  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements including First Aid, CPR, Mandated Reporter training, cleared TB test, proof of MMR vaccination, and Food Handlers Card
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Assertive and confident interpersonal communication skills
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize critical tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting work priorities
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders

Job Duties

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and in-the-moment feedback to program team members
  • Audit, coach, and train staff to ensure compliance with all relevant processes, policies, and expectations
  • Support safety and security plans for children during programs
  • Support recruitment and onboarding efforts for new team members
  • Develop relationships with school administration, parents, and PTA organizations to ensure successful program delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain team schedules and communicate changes with relevant parties
  • Coordinate and execute educational marketing and district events
  • Review and analyze enrollment, timekeeping, and other data taking prescribed actions
  • Report regularly to Area Manager on program, site, and staff performance
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Administer light first aid when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned
