Job Description

The Ben Autograph Collection is a luxury hotel located in the vibrant heart of West Palm Beach, Florida. This hotel is part of Marriott’s distinguished Autograph Collection, which comprises a portfolio of unique, four and five-star independent hotels that celebrate originality, bold character, and quality. The Ben draws inspiration from the legendary Byrd “Birdie” Dewey and her famed Ben Trovato Estate, blending modern luxury with a warm and story-rich atmosphere that offers guests an experience that is exactly like nothing else. Situated overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and marina, the hotel exudes a sophisticated fusion of city energy and coastal elegance. The amenities include a rooftop heated saltwater pool, versatile event spaces, and exceptional dining options such as Proper Grit, a whisky and supper club-inspired restaurant, and Spruzzo, a water-facing rooftop lounge offering Mediterranean tapas and handcrafted cocktails. The establishment prides itself on delivering authentic hospitality and creating lasting memories for guests through every aspect of its service and environment.

The available Management position within the Sales and Marketing department is a full-time role based at The Ben in West Palm Beach. This role centers on soliciting, capturing, planning, and coordinating small meetings with 10 rooms or less, as well as managing social and catering-only functions to maximize banquet space efficiency and exceed revenue goals. The individual in this role is responsible for finalizing catering business, recommending program and procedural changes to improve outcomes, and executing a strategic marketing plan targeted at maximizing revenue capture. Key responsibilities involve negotiating and booking business through various direct and indirect sales efforts including outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, and networking. The role requires planning meetings and functions carefully with attention to every detail such as space requirements, timing, equipment needs, menus, themes, and decorations, ensuring a seamless customer experience.

In addition to client-focused activity, the manager is responsible for completing contracts and preparing all necessary documentation, including banquet event orders, coordinating effectively with other hotel departments, and resolving any issues or complaints to ensure high-quality product delivery and guest satisfaction. An essential aspect of the role is maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base of corporate and hotel procedures, ongoing competitive offerings, and industry trends to continually adapt and optimize sales strategies. The position comes with a competitive starting salary of $80,000 per year plus bonus incentives and offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance with employer contributions, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, and additional perks such as tuition reimbursement and employee referral bonuses.

Working at The Ben offers professionals the opportunity to be part of a confident, refined, and distinctive culture that values excellence and presence. Employees are not just working in luxury; they play an integral role in creating an intentional and artful hospitality experience. The Ben encourages a welcoming environment where creativity, sophistication, and individuality are celebrated and where team members can grow and develop within a global network of exceptional hotels. The role offers a dynamic blend of client interaction, strategic marketing, and operational execution, making it an ideal opportunity for driven individuals focused on career growth within the luxury hospitality industry.
