The hotel provides guests and event attendees easy access to Portland International Airport and serves as an ideal base for both business and leisure travelers. Hilton Vancouver Washington prides itself on delivering remarkable guest experiences, combining high-quality service with a memorable atmosphere that caters to diverse client needs ranging from social events to corporate meetings.
We are seeking a dynamic Catering Sales Manager to join our dedicated team and contribute to the continued success and growth of our event sales division. This full-time role offers an hourly pay rate of $36.00 with flexible shifts typically running from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the potential for evening and weekend work based on business demands. The successful candidate will benefit from a comprehensive sales incentive program, including a Short-Term Incentive Plan (SIP) that rewards top performers with uncapped bonus opportunities based on revenue goals and achievements.
As the Catering Sales Manager, you will oversee the complete event lifecycle, starting from initial client interactions, proposal development, contract negotiations, through to the seamless execution of events. You will be responsible for cultivating new business opportunities and maintaining lasting relationships, with an emphasis on working with non-profit organizations and a wide range of clientele. With experience managing events for up to 1,000 attendees, your role demands strong organizational skills, creativity in event design, and a keen eye towards maximizing revenue while delivering outstanding event experiences.
You will collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure flawless event logistics, acting as the primary contact for clients and guaranteeing their satisfaction throughout the contracting, pre-event, event, and post-event phases. A thorough understanding of sales management systems like Delphi, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and exceptional interpersonal abilities are essential. Your flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules and your proactive, solution-oriented approach will play a critical role in thriving within this fast-paced environment.
At Hilton Vancouver Washington, we believe in nurturing the professional growth and wellbeing of our team members through innovative programs and benefits. Our inclusive culture encourages a balanced work-life experience and supports educational advancement through partnerships offering college degrees and professional certifications. You will be joining a historic and globally recognized hospitality brand known for its commitment to quality, integrity, and hospitality, making this an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to excel in catering sales and event management.
