Job Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of professional experience in hotel catering and event sales
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex social events
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including evenings and weekends
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in sales management technology such as Delphi
- Excellent organizational and negotiation skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of three years experience in catering and events within a hotel setting
- Proven track record of managing the full event lifecycle from proposal to execution
- Ability to build and maintain strong long-term client relationships
- Experience managing events for up to 1,000 attendees
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends
- Experience with Delphi or similar property sales management systems
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline and close deals
Job Duties
- Organize, plan, and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
- Communicate timely to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
- Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet expectations
- Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, and processes
- Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances
- Sell and influence both internal and external clients
- Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating issues and determining solutions
- Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand guest needs, providing direction and coaching
- Participate in customer site inspections and assist with sales process as necessary
- Handle other duties as necessary based on business needs
