Job Requirements
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
- 5 years experience in sales and marketing or related professional area
- OR 4-year bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
- 3 years of experience in sales and marketing or related professional area
- Ability to proactively solicit and manage group and catering business
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work full time in Portland, Oregon
Job Qualifications
- 2-year degree in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or related field with 5 years of sales and marketing or related experience
- OR 4-year bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or related field with 3 years of sales and marketing or related experience
- Proven ability to develop sales plans and strategies
- Demonstrated excellent customer service and relationship management skills
- Strong negotiation and contract execution skills
- Knowledge of market trends, competitors, and economic factors
Job Duties
- Proactively solicit group and catering business
- Handle large group and customer segment opportunities with significant revenue potential
- Upsell packages and creative food and beverage offerings to maximize revenue
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, fam trips, and trade shows
- Develop effective group and catering sales plans and proposals
- Negotiate contracts and close business deals using creative selling abilities
- Execute and support operational aspects of booked business, including proposal generation and customer correspondence
