The Senior Catering Sales & Events Manager - Corporate and Social role at Balboa Bay Resort is a pivotal position responsible for managing the entire event sales and execution process, aiming to deliver flawless private events that align with the resort’s luxury brand. This role requires a highly motivated professional with experience in both corporate and social event management who excels in sales and guest relations. The successful candidate will lead the Catering Sales team, providing coaching, mentoring, and strategic direction to achieve ambitious revenue and service targets. Their responsibilities will include generating leads, conducting site visits, preparing detailed proposals, negotiating contracts, managing budgets, and collaborating effectively across departments including culinary and banquet teams.

This position demands a proactive approach to relationship-building with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless event delivery from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up. The Senior Manager will also focus on market trends and competitor activity to drive innovations that enhance the wedding and social event offerings at the resort. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Catering Sales team
  • onboard, train, and mentor team members
  • develop and manage catering revenue forecasts
