Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • minimum 5 years catering sales or event services experience
  • proven sales track record
  • knowledge of food and beverage products
  • knowledge of meeting room setups
  • excellent customer service skills
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
  • ability to travel periodically
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
  • professional appearance and demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum of 5 years of catering sales or event services experience in a luxury hotel or private venue
  • proven ability to meet and exceed financial sales goals
  • knowledge of food and beverage products and meeting room setups
  • excellent customer service skills
  • interpersonal skills
  • professional appearance
  • proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work independently and in a team
  • ability to work under pressure
  • clean and professional demeanor
  • bachelor's degree in hospitality management preferred
  • previous similar experience preferred
  • proficiency in Delphi FDC, Opera, Social Tables preferred
  • knowledge of audio/visual equipment preferred
  • established network in wedding and philanthropic events is a plus

Job Duties

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Catering Sales team
  • onboard, train, and mentor team members
  • develop and manage catering revenue forecasts
  • manage departmental budgets
  • plan and execute FAM events
  • manage all aspects of catering sales including prospecting and qualifying leads
  • conduct site tours and planning meetings
  • manage key client relationships
  • ensure event proposals and contracts meet luxury standards
  • drive collaboration across departments
  • create customized proposals and event packages
  • collaborate with culinary teams for menu design
  • oversee event execution and follow-up
  • maintain detailed client and financial records
  • monitor market trends and competitor activity
  • represent the resort at industry events
  • support resort functions and cohesive service delivery
  • uphold hospitality and professionalism standards
