Job Description

Brooksby Village by Erickson Senior Living is a premier continuing care retirement community nestled on a beautiful 90-acre campus in Peabody, Massachusetts, just minutes from Boston. As part of Erickson Senior Living, one of the largest and most respected senior living and healthcare providers in the United States, Brooksby Village is dedicated to enhancing the lives of its residents by delivering a vibrant lifestyle, financial stability, and focused health and well-being services. The community is not only known for its scenic setting and exceptional resident services but also for its commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and a nurturing work environment that promotes growth and development. Employees at Brooksby Village enjoy a supportive atmosphere that prioritizes both professional learning and work-life balance, reflecting the organization’s dedication to its team members as much as to its residents.

We are actively seeking a passionate, experienced, and innovative Campus Executive Chef to join our team and lead the culinary operations across multiple dining venues at Brooksby Village. This leadership role demands a culinary professional who can inspire and manage a team committed to excellence and foster a culture based on teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the Director and Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, the Campus Executive Chef will oversee all food production, ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation, consistency, and food safety standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the dining experience for the campus community, including residents, employees, and visitors, continually enhancing satisfaction through superior culinary offerings and impeccable service standards.

The Campus Executive Chef will be responsible for managing budgets, monitoring performance, minimizing waste, and ensuring compliance with all federal and state food safety regulations including Health Department and HACCP standards. Additionally, this role requires contributing to strategic planning and operational improvements to elevate the food and beverage services continually. Engaging directly with residents through regular dining room visits to build and maintain positive relationships is a key aspect, allowing the chef to respond to resident feedback and preferences effectively.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $105,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with eligibility for an annual bonus. Furthermore, Brooksby Village offers a comprehensive benefits package and prides itself on fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision plans with wellness reimbursements and telehealth services, paid time off plans with company-paid volunteer hours, a 401(k) retirement plan with a 3% company match, a 30% discount at on-site dining venues, and numerous opportunities for career growth as Erickson Senior Living expands nationwide.

Joining Brooksby Village means joining a team dedicated not only to culinary excellence but also to making a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors by delivering exceptional dining experiences that promote health, wellness, and community engagement. This role is ideal for a culinary leader with a minimum of three years of executive chef experience, an eye for fine dining, knowledge of a la carte and catering trends, and a strong command of sanitation, food cost control, and presentation practices. If you are looking for a fulfilling career where your culinary expertise contributes to better living for seniors and where your leadership fosters a cooperative and innovative kitchen environment, Brooksby Village is the perfect place to grow your career.
