The Senior Business Systems Analyst position at Baptist Health is a critical role that supports the organization’s strategic technology initiatives. This position involves applying analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of technology solutions that meet the business requirements of Baptist Health’s departments and stakeholders. The role requires the Senior Business Systems Analyst to define, design, and implement strategic technology business solutions while leading multiple small to mid-size projects and initiatives. Core responsibilities include modifying systems, testing, debugging, installing, and supporting application systems that align with the operational workflows and processes of the healthcare organization.
As part of the role, the Senior Business Systems Analyst collaborates closely with operational teams to ensure business ideas are accurately translated into actionable and measurable technical requirements. The position involves working with other Business Systems Analysts to identify, research, and evaluate enterprise applications and technologies that promote the organization’s strategic technology and digital initiatives. A strong understanding of relational databases, web and client-server environments, SQL, and healthcare technology systems is essential. The Senior Business Systems Analyst must rely on professional experience and sound judgment to plan and achieve goals that drive business improvements and operational excellence.
This hybrid role requires onsite presence and offers an estimated salary range of $85,901.44 to $111,671.87 per year depending on experience. The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Additional certifications such as Epic ClinDoc - Verona Certified (mandatory) and Epic Regulatory Reporting Badge (desired) are highly valued. Candidates should have at least five years of relevant experience in dynamic, medium-sized corporate environments, with demonstrated project leadership, budget forecasting capabilities, vendor management, risk mitigation skills, and basic system vulnerability management competencies.

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Job Duties
- Configure, build, and maintain the Epic ClinDoc module, including clinical workflows, documentation tools, and templates
- Collaborate with clinicians, IT staff, and hospital leadership to optimize nursing, ancillary and provider documentation workflows
- Analyze system needs, gather user requirements, and implement enhancements or new features
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and system upgrades to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
- Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, and workflow documentation for end-users
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, clinical best practices, and hospital policies
- Work closely with other Epic teams, including Orders, HIM, and Reporting, to ensure system integration
- Provide end-user training, support, and troubleshooting assistance as needed
- Participate in on-call support for critical system issues and go-live events
