Job Description

LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee responsible for delivering the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As the steward of one of the largest sporting events in the world, LA28 carries a mission to create an unparalleled experience that celebrates the diverse culture and heritage of both the city of Los Angeles and the United States. The 2028 Games represent a significant milestone, marking the return of the Summer Olympics to the U.S. after 32 years and the first time Los Angeles will host the Paralympic Games. This unique combination gives LA28 the opportunity to honor historical legacy while pushing the Olympic and Paralympic Movements forward, setting new standards and creating a lasting chapter in international sporting history.

At LA28, creating a successful Olympic and Paralympic Games is a collective effort requiring a talented and diverse team. The organization places high value on optimism, integrity, excellence, inclusion, co-creation, and boldness — qualities they seek in their team members. As part of this team, every person contributes their unique perspective and expertise to deliver an event that unites athletes, fans, partners, and the local community in celebration.

The role of Senior Associate, Venue Look of the Games, is a pivotal position within LA28’s Look & Signage (LNS) team. This role involves developing and executing the visual identity at competition and non-competition venues throughout the Games. The Senior Associate’s responsibilities are multi-dimensional, from scoping and planning to delivery, maintenance, and eventual decommissioning of venue-specific visual elements. This candidate will work closely with a variety of stakeholders including Brand, Sport, Venue Management, Venue Infrastructure, Broadcast, and Photo teams to ensure alignment with LA28’s overarching Games-wide strategy.

Furthermore, this role demands translating the creative direction from the central design team into actionable and venue-specific plans which reflect the LA28 brand while enhancing the overall athlete and spectator experience. This involves providing design feedback considering venue constraints and operational needs and advocating for the brand’s vision at every stage. The Senior Associate will serve as the main liaison between assigned venues and the LNS central team, keeping all parties informed on progress, challenges, and changes to guarantee seamless implementation.

Beyond planning and design, the Senior Associate manages on-site operations during the Games, overseeing the installation, maintenance, and removal of Look assets while ensuring strict adherence to quality and brand standards. This includes managing contractors, suppliers, and acting as the venue’s primary representative for Look and Brand related matters. The position prioritizes collaboration across multiple functional areas to determine optimal asset placement for visibility and impact, while supporting stakeholder communication and presentation efforts.

This position offers an annual base salary range of $73,000 to $95,000. It is an onsite role based in Downtown Los Angeles, requiring flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during event peaks. LA28 proudly embraces a transparent, inclusive recruiting process committed to equal opportunity employment and encourages applications from candidates of all backgrounds. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.
