Job Description

LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee responsible for planning and delivering the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As a prestigious organization, LA28 is on a mission to design an unparalleled Olympic and Paralympic experience that honors the spirit and diversity of Los Angeles and the United States. The 2028 Games represent a historic milestone, marking the return of the Summer Olympic Games to the United States after a 32-year hiatus and being Los Angeles' third time hosting the Olympic Games, as well as its first time hosting the Paralympic Games. This momentous occasion presents a unique opportunity to celebrate the city's legacy while advancing the Olympic and Paralympic movements on a global stage.

As an organization, LA28 is committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture where diversity of perspectives, experiences, and expertise is valued. Guided by core principles such as optimism, integrity, excellence, inclusion, co-creation, and boldness, LA28 seeks passionate and skilled individuals to join its team and contribute to the success of these Games.

The Sr. Associate, Venue Infrastructure Delivery role is embedded within the Venue and Infrastructure (VNI) team, a critical unit tasked with ensuring that all competition and non-competition venues meet the highest standards of functionality, sustainability, innovation, and accessibility for athletes, fans, partners, and the community. This role operates as part of the broader Sport and Games Delivery group, collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders to bring the venues from design through to full delivery and operational readiness.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Venue Infrastructure Delivery, the Sr. Associate will play an integral role in planning, designing, delivering, and coordinating venue projects. Responsibilities include working cross-functionally with internal teams such as Sport, Event Management, and Operational departments, as well as with external partners and consultants to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and standard-compliant venue development. Early efforts focus on finalizing venue designs followed by active involvement during on-site execution, construction, and delivery phases.

This role demands strong project management and organizational skills to handle complex scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communication. The Sr. Associate will assist in managing external consultants and vendors, identifying risks and issues, and proposing mitigation strategies to ensure successful venue infrastructure delivery. Familiarity with major sports events and a commitment to collaborative decision-making and co-creation are essential for excelling in this role.

Candidates should expect a dynamic and fast-paced working environment, primarily based in Los Angeles with requirements for occasional travel to various venue sites. The position requires flexibility, including the willingness to work extended hours during critical build phases and game-time preparations. The role offers a salary range of $73,000 to $95,000, aligned with the candidate's experience and qualifications. It is important to note that LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.

LA28 values equity and inclusion in its recruitment processes and encourages candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply. The organization is committed to fair hiring practices free from discrimination and supports hiring decisions based on relevant skills, education, and experience. The Sr. Associate, Venue Infrastructure Delivery position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to an iconic global event that will shape the history of sports and international cooperation, making it an exciting and impactful career move.
