The Senior Assistant Manager role at Chuck E. Cheese is essential in delivering the high-quality guest experiences expected by customers. This role goes beyond restaurant management; it focuses heavily on managing expectations and building trust with guests. The Senior Assistant Manager ensures the team is equipped with the right resources, training, and motivation so that every guest leaves happy. This position is both challenging and rewarding with compensation ranging from $18.11 to $20.13 hourly, plus commission based on membership and Fun Pass sales. Commission payouts are made bi-weekly or according to state law.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Assistant Manager include making daily operational decisions regarding staff scheduling, resource allocation, and maintaining high standards of product quality and cleanliness. This role requires strong leadership to recruit, train, develop, and communicate company and guest expectations effectively to the team. Coaching and motivating the staff to deliver outstanding guest service and uphold safety standards are fundamental aspects of the job. Additionally, the Senior Assistant Manager exercises sound judgment in managing labor costs, financial accounting, inventory levels, and cost control procedures.
Candidates for this role should demonstrate abilities in coaching and developing others, ethical behavior, effective communication, empowering team members, valuing diversity, prioritization, and problem solving. The job environment includes exposure to loud noises, flashing lights, and moving mechanical parts, as well as the ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as standing, bending, and walking throughout shifts.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older (RVP approval may allow lower age as permitted by law)
- Able to lift or carry objects weighing 0-50 pounds during shift
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk and squat during shifts
- Must pass background checks as required
- Able to work in a loud, fast-paced environment with flashing lights and mechanical parts
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two years of management experience in food service preferred
Job Qualifications
- High-school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years management experience preferably in food service or proven track record as a CEC Assistant Manager
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Knowledge of cost control and financial procedures
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
Job Duties
- Make daily decisions involving time management, staff scheduling and support, uphold product quality, cleanliness and other company standards
- Build sales and maximize profits by recruiting, training, developing and communicating company and guest expectations to the team
- Coach, teach and motivate team to maintain high quality guest service and safety
- Exercise good business skills and judgement in cost control procedures, financial accounting, inventory levels and labor management
- Ensure compliance with safety and health standards and promote a welcoming environment
- Manage daily restaurant operations effectively to meet company goals
