The Senior Area Sales Manager position at HHM Hotels is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing a group of hotels to maximize revenue generation and guest satisfaction. This role requires expertise in hospitality sales, account management, and team leadership, serving as the key driver to meet or exceed all revenue goals within a multi-property portfolio. The Senior Area Sales Manager will architect and execute comprehensive sales plans that penetrate new market segments while optimizing existing revenue streams, thereby directly contributing to the portfolio’s success and long-term growth. Key responsibilities include selecting, training, and coaching associates to uphold high brand standards and core company values, managing critical client relationships at the executive level, and integrating cross-functional teams like Revenue Management, Operations, and Catering to deliver seamless large-scale accounts and group bookings. Additionally, this role demands conducting deep-dive competitive analysis and using market intelligence to position the portfolio as a regional leader. As an influential brand ambassador, the incumbent will represent HHM Hotels at prominent industry trade shows and networking events. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional seeking a challenging career path with potential advancement to Area Director of Sales, Director of Sales, and ultimately Regional Director of Sales within the company. Job Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related industry preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of proven success in hospitality sales
  • Ability to travel moderately between hotels and client locations
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 10 pounds
  • Proficient computer skills for documentation and communication
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities

Job Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related industry preferred
  • 5 years of proven success in hospitality sales
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates
  • Architect and execute comprehensive sales plans to maximize revenue
  • Identify and penetrate new market segments while optimizing existing revenue streams
  • Oversee account management for the area with meticulous documentation and strategic follow-through
  • Manage and grow the portfolio's most critical Tier 1 accounts serving as primary contact for executive-level clients
  • Direct integration of departments like Revenue Management, Operations, and Catering for execution of large-scale accounts and group bookings
  • Conduct competitive analysis and leverage market trends
  • Represent the hotel portfolio at industry trade shows and networking events
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
