The Senior Area Executive Chef position available at Sodexo supports Cape Fear Valley Health, specifically within the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This medical center is a trauma level III acute care hospital with 733 licensed beds and 78 rehabilitation beds, making it an essential healthcare provider in the region. As part of the Cape Fear Valley Health System, it is the 8th largest health system in North Carolina with a total of 916 patient beds, serving a large six-county area of Southeastern North Carolina and attending to more than 935,000 patients annually.
In the role of Senior Area Executive Chef, you will oversee culinary operations for six hospitals within the health system, playing a vital role in maintaining high-quality food standards and ensuring compliance with Sodexo culinary policies. Your responsibilities will include managing purchasing, menu compliance, inventory control, food cost analysis, and forecasting food production needs accurately. You will provide district-level support through staff development, training, catering management, and ensuring rigorous adherence to menu standards. As a leader, you will motivate and develop your culinary team to embrace innovative approaches in food preparation and presentation, while maintaining rigorous food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards. Competency in automated systems for food inventory, ordering, and production management is essential to success in this position.
