Sodexo seeks a Senior Area Executive Chef for Cape Fear Valley Health in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is a level III trauma acute care hospital with 733 licensed beds and 78 rehabilitation beds. This hospital is part of the Cape Fear Valley Health System, the eighth largest health system in North Carolina, boasting a total of 916 patient beds and serving a six-county region in Southeastern North Carolina, catering to over 935,000 patients annually.
The Senior Area Executive Chef role is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing culinary operations across six hospitals within the district. This includes managing purchasing, ensuring menu compliance, inventory control, food cost analysis, and production forecasting. The position demands an individual who can provide district-wide support including staff development, catering services, and maintenance of Sodexo culinary standards focusing on recipe adherence and food quality. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong leadership abilities to motivate and develop culinary teams, encouraging innovation while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety.

Job Duties
- oversee and support 6 hospitals
- be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
- provide district support including training, catering, development of staff, and menu compliance
- ensure Sodexo culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
- develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
- ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
- have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
