Job Requirements
- Three years of experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work
- Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency
- Transcripts are required for education to be considered
- Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate required post-offer
- Verification of identity and employment eligibility to work in the United States
- Participation in E-Verify
- Ability to work Monday through Friday on a full-time basis
- Must comply with State contracts, regulations, procedures and policies
- Veterans' preference eligible
Job Qualifications
- Three years of experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work
- Experience in collecting, evaluating, studying or reporting on statistical, economic, fiscal/budget, legislative or administrative data preferred
- Dependable, self-starter that requires minimal supervision preferred
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail preferred
- Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency, transcripts are required for education to be considered
Job Duties
- Serves as the Bureau of Human Resources first point of contact and receptionist
- Coordinates the Service Award program for the Agency
- Calendar owner and scheduler of the shared meeting rooms for the Eisenhower State Office Building and the Bureau of Human Resources
- Prepares, processes, audits and coordinates purchase requests, purchase authorities, purchase orders, payment vouchers, and travel vouchers for the Bureau of Human Resources in compliance with State Contracts, regulations, procedures and policies, and within the Bureau budget
- Serves as the personnel and payroll clerk for the Bureau of Human Resources
- Reviews and audits position descriptions
- Assists the Division of Administration, Bureau of Human Resources, and Bureau of ADA/EEO/Employee relations with other administrative, clerical and support duties as assigned
