Job Description

Lifeway Mobility is a leading provider specializing in residential Durable Medical Equipment (DME) focused on enhancing the mobility, safety, and independence of patients in their homes. With a commitment to exceptional customer care, Lifeway Mobility has established itself as a trusted name in the healthcare industry by offering tailored solutions that meet individual patient needs. As the company plans to open a new location in the St. Louis area, it is seeking a dedicated Selling General Manager to drive growth, build a strong local team, and foster a culture of excellence in customer service.

The Selling General Manager role at Lifeway Mobility is a unique leadership opportunity designed for professionals with expertise in B2C residential durable medical equipment sales and management. The successful candidate will lead the new location's operations, guiding the team to achieve exceptional outcomes in sales, customer satisfaction, and service delivery. This position requires a dynamic leader who can balance strategic sales goals with operational responsibilities while promoting a positive, collaborative work environment.

As the face of the new St. Louis location, the Selling General Manager will be responsible for opening and scaling the business, including recruiting, hiring, and training a motivated team of sales, installation, and operations professionals. You will play a key role in developing and nurturing relationships with community partners and patient referral sources through targeted marketing efforts such as in-services and promotional events. Your leadership will be critical in ensuring the delivery of 5-star customer service through consultative, in-home sales appointments and timely installation and maintenance of mobility equipment.

Beyond sales leadership, this position involves comprehensive operational oversight, including quality assurance checks on every sale and installation, vendor and subcontractor management, and fleet maintenance oversight. As the point of escalation, you will resolve challenges promptly, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction while efficiently managing inventory and service calls. The role demands someone with excellent problem-solving skills and a financial acumen to manage budgets, control costs, and meet profit targets consistently.

The Selling General Manager will also serve as a mentor and coach, leading by example through ride-alongs, training sessions, and performance reviews to develop team members' skills and capabilities. Effective communication, adherence to regulatory compliance, and fostering an ethical workplace culture are essential aspects of this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and virtual collaboration tools supports the operational and administrative demands.

Lifeway Mobility offers a supportive and growth-oriented environment with an attractive benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) plans, employer-paid life and long-term disability insurance, paid holidays, and generous paid time off. The company’s Academy program provides comprehensive virtual and in-person training, ensuring employees are well-prepared and empowered to succeed. Joining Lifeway Mobility means becoming part of a compassionate team that values well-being, professional development, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve.

This full-time position involves up to 10% travel within the region and is ideally suited for a proven sales producer and manager eager to take on a pivotal role in a growing company. If you are motivated to lead a new market with innovative products designed to improve patient mobility and independence, Lifeway Mobility invites you to apply and take the next step in your career.
