As a Self-Checkout Host, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment, helping customers navigate the self-checkout process smoothly and efficiently. Your primary responsibility is to oversee the self-checkout area, ensuring customers scan, weigh, bag, and pay for their items with ease and satisfaction.

In this role, you will assist multiple customers simultaneously, anticipating and resolving any issues related to scanning, weighing, payment, or product location. You will be the go-to person for customers who need assistance in self-service lanes, helping them understand weekly promotions and guiding them to products around the store. Maintaining a clean and orderly self-checkout area is also an important part of your duties, ensuring the space is inviting and functional throughout the day.

Working as a Self-Checkout Host requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and reliability. You will operate front-end equipment such as registers, scanners, and calculators while demonstrating proficiency in cash handling and mathematical skills. Physical stamina is necessary, as the job involves lifting and carrying products and moving grocery carts within the store.
