Job Description

INSURICA is a leading insurance agency known for its comprehensive risk management solutions and commitment to excellence in service delivery. As a respected entity in the insurance sector, INSURICA manages specialized segments that cater to complex insurance pool systems such as NAS Risk Solutions, LLC (NAS). These pools operate through inter-local agreements, ensuring cooperation among various local entities to provide efficient insurance management and risk stratification. NAS oversees several administrative agreements with different entities under the Inter-local Pool agreements, including PCAT, PCAL, CPAT, and others. The company prides itself on accuracy, transparency, and innovation to effectively service its clients and partners in the insurance industry.

The role of Accounting Manager at INSURICA specifically focuses on handling all accounting functions related to NAS Risk Solutions insurance pool system management. This professional will be responsible for managing a broad spectrum of critical accounting operations including general ledger management, cash management, investing, claim payments, vendor invoicing, unearned premium reserve (UPR), loss reserve oversight, reinsurance management, year-end audit completion, and actuarial oversight. As an integral leader within the organization, the Accounting Manager will direct the Pool and NAS accounting processes, ensuring that monthly general ledger close processes are executed with precision, accounts are reconciled, and all deadlines are adhered to meticulously. This role demands extensive coordination with various department leaders, participation in budgeting and forecasting activities for multiple entities, and ongoing assessment of accounting standards to enable the company’s compliance and financial accuracy.

The Accounting Manager will also lead annual audit processes of the pool's financials, including managing actuarial support data, ensuring the company is audit-ready and compliant with regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong presence in supporting the general ledger and accounts payable functions, driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy, and overseeing monthly financial analyses with timely reporting to NAS leadership. Given the dynamic and evolving nature of the business, this role also involves assisting in selecting new accounting and ancillary systems to support corporate growth and technological advancement.

Additionally, INSURICA’s Accounting Manager will maintain detailed process documentation, enforce internal controls, provide leadership and training to accounting team members, and foster a positive and motivating work environment. This position emphasizes professional development, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence while navigating a fast-paced and changing priority setting. The job requires a high degree of technical knowledge in GAAP, insurance accounting standards, and intercompany financial consolidations, alongside a proactive, self-directed work attitude. Successful candidates will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels. The company values regular attendance and a dedicated approach to ensuring month-end process facilitation.
