As an established security company with a long-standing reputation for professionalism and integrity, Securitas emphasizes its core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness to guide its workforce. The company is dedicated to creating a safe and secure environment by employing experienced personnel who are trained to handle diverse security challenges effectively. Securitas operates with a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, welcoming applicants regardless of race, color, religion, age, gender, or other protected characteristics.
The position of Security Supervisor for the 3rd Shift offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a supervisory role within a robust security organization. This role is hourly paid at $27.00 per hour and entails the responsibility of overseeing a team of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel at one or multiple client sites. The Security Supervisor ensures that all post orders are followed, rounds are completed on schedule, reports are accurately filed, and proper notifications are made during emergency situations. The role is vital to maintaining the safety and security of client premises and personnel.
The Security Supervisor acts as the frontline management figure, providing coaching, training, and discipline to security staff as necessary. They work closely with company management to ensure adequate staffing coverage and maintain communication with client representatives to guarantee that security expectations and service quality standards are met. In addition, this role involves hands-on supervisory duties such as interviewing, orienting, training employees, planning and directing work assignments, performance appraisals, and handling disciplinary actions in compliance with all relevant policies and legal requirements.
The job requires proficiency with computers and strong customer service skills, along with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times. Candidates need to be excellent communicators with good organizational abilities and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and employees across cultural and social diversities. The position can be physically demanding and may require the ability to work under pressure during urgent situations, with possible exposure to inclement weather and challenging environments. Shift work, including overtime without prior notice, may be necessary. This role requires compliance with stringent background checks, substance testing, and licensing requirements as applicable.
Securitas offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a retirement plan, medical and dental coverage provided by the employer, company-paid life insurance, voluntary life and disability insurance options, and an employee assistance plan. Additional incentives include the Securitas Saves discount program, paid holidays, and paid time away from work — either vacation, sick leave, or personal time off depending on local regulations. In some cases, employees may access earned wages before payday, subject to terms, restrictions, and fees.
Joining Securitas as a Security Supervisor during the 3rd Shift means becoming part of a respected security team grounded in a shared mission to protect and serve. It is an ideal role for professionals who aspire to managerial responsibilities within the security field, are committed to upholding high ethical standards, and thrive in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
