Job Requirements

  • Previous security supervisor experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Proficient with computers
  • Ability to hold applicable state, county, or municipal security license if required
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience or equivalent
  • Ability to work 3rd shift with possible overtime without advance notice
  • Ability to handle physical and mental demands of the job
  • Successful completion of background, reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral surveys as mandated
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to be an effective team member

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred
  • Prior experience in security supervision preferred
  • Knowledge of security operations, patrol, inspection, and response services
  • Understanding of supervisory practices and procedures
  • Ability to provide positive direction and motivate staff
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain professional composure under pressure
  • Ability to adapt to various sites and procedural changes

Job Duties

  • Functions as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other personnel at client sites
  • Ensures all post orders are followed and rounds completed
  • Notifies proper authorities and clients in emergencies
  • Coaches and disciplines security personnel
  • Provides training and reviews assignments with subordinates
  • Assists with payroll and personnel submissions
  • Ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions
  • Prepares and submits required reports
  • Inspects posts and outlines tasks and responsibilities to staff
  • Meets with client representatives to ensure service quality
  • Conducts supervisory duties such as interviewing, training, planning, coaching, appraising, rewarding, disciplining, and handling employee issues
  • Performs Security Officer duties as needed according to company policies
