The Part Time Event Security Staff at Hall of Fame Village play a crucial role in maintaining the safety, security, and positive experience for all visitors, guests, clients, vendors, and staff across the expansive campus. This hourly, non-exempt position involves providing property security and asset protection throughout the buildings and grounds of the Village. Staff members are expected to deliver superior guest services, serving as approachable points of contact who respond promptly and professionally to any complaints, security breaches, theft control issues, or incidents that may arise. Their duties include patrolling the property to identify and communicate issues, monitoring surveillance cameras and video feed from the control room, and ensuring that all security spaces and equipment are properly prepared to support security operations. They collaborate closely with adjacent teams to address maintenance, custodial, and facility concerns to keep the campus running smoothly. The role demands a flexible work schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, reflecting the dynamic nature of events held at the Village.

Candidates for this position should have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, with an Associate’s degree or certification preferred. Prior experience in security, criminal justice, law enforcement, or the military is highly desired. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, with exceptional verbal and written communication abilities in English. The role requires physical capabilities such as lifting up to 25 pounds regularly, working in various Ohio weather conditions, moving safely over uneven terrain, and the ability to maintain alertness and responsiveness to potential hazards. A valid driver’s license is required along with the ability to work independently while exhibiting strong judgment and discretion regarding confidential matters.
