As an established security services company, Securitas operates with a mission to protect homes, workplaces, and communities by delivering top-tier security solutions that ensure safety and peace of mind for their clients. The company is renowned for its commitment to integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness, which form the foundation of its service excellence and customer trust. With a diverse workforce and a broad portfolio of services, Securitas focuses on creating a secure environment through professional, reliable, and responsive security personnel.
The role of Security Supervisor at Securitas is a pivotal supervisory position charged with overseeing Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other assigned personnel at client locations. This role requires ensuring strict adherence to post orders, verifying that security rounds are completed, and confirming that all required reporting is timely and accurate. The Security Supervisor works closely with company management and client representatives to maintain high standards of security and customer service. Acting as a coach and disciplinarian, the supervisor is responsible for mentoring staff, conducting training sessions, and addressing performance issues as necessary. The job involves managing staffing levels to ensure adequate post coverage and contributing to payroll submissions and administrative reporting.
Supervisors are expected to conduct inspections, meet regularly with subordinates and clients, and uphold safety and security policies in compliance with applicable laws and company standards. This role may also require performing security officer duties alongside supervisory responsibilities, depending on operational needs. The Security Supervisor position demands an individual who can maintain composure in high-pressure situations, handle multiple tasks effectively, and interact professionally across different levels of organizational hierarchy.
In addition to the supervisory duties, the Security Supervisor is expected to possess a strong understanding of security operations focused on patrol, inspection, and response services. The role demands knowledge of various safety devices, effective scheduling abilities, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills. A background in retail security is preferred, highlighting the company's interest in candidates with experience in similar environments. The physical requirements of the role include the ability to perform prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sometimes lifting weights up to 25 pounds, with potential exposure to inclement weather conditions and the necessity to wear protective gear when required.
Employing individuals who live by the core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness, Securitas offers a supportive work environment alongside a competitive benefits package. These benefits include retirement plans, medical and dental coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, employee assistance programs, paid holidays, and paid time off. The company also provides opportunities for employees to access earned wages early, subject to eligibility and restrictions. This supervisory position offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to safety and security operations while growing within a respected global company dedicated to protecting people and assets.
