The company prides itself on its core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness, which form the foundation for its trusted relationships with customers and communities worldwide. With a diverse workforce that brings a variety of skills and perspectives, Securitas offers a secure and rewarding work environment. Employees are empowered to uphold the company's values and contribute to the safety and security needs of countless clients across different sectors. The company is deeply committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, ensuring that all qualified applicants receive fair consideration regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic.
The role of Security Shift Supervisor with Securitas is critical for maintaining the quality and effectiveness of security operations at client sites. This position commands a wage of $24.00 per hour and ideally suits individuals with prior security leadership experience. As a Security Shift Supervisor, you will supervise Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other personnel across one or more posts. You will ensure strict adherence to post orders, complete rounds as required, and handle report filing meticulously. Your responsibilities will include emergency response coordination with proper authorities and clients, personnel coaching and discipline, and tactical training for personnel to meet job requirements. The role demands a proactive leadership style with a focus on maintaining high standards, client satisfaction, and team motivation.
As a supervisor, you will manage important aspects such as payroll and personnel submissions in coordination with company management, ensure adequate staffing coverage, conduct regular inspections of posts, and engage with client representatives to guarantee comprehensive security service quality. The role also involves performing supervisory duties including hiring, training, assigning work, performance appraisals, rewarding, disciplining staff, and resolving employee complaints. In certain instances, you may act as a Security Officer, following post orders and company policies.
The ideal candidate holds, at minimum, a high school diploma or GED and brings at least two years of related experience, preferably with a background in retail security. Licensing requirements must be met based on state, county, or municipal regulations. Essential competencies include knowledge of security operations, supervisory practices, safety devices, and the ability to motivate team members positively. Strong communication skills, organizational ability, customer service orientation, and professional composure during high-pressure situations are critical to success in this role.
Working conditions require physical stamina and mental resilience, as the job includes managing stressful situations, performing multiple tasks, utilizing computer equipment, and possibly working overtime. The Security Shift Supervisor must maintain professional conduct while adapting to varying environments and potential physical demands such as lifting, walking, climbing, and exposure to varying weather conditions or safety gear requirements. This opportunity offers benefits including retirement plans, medical and dental coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, employee assistance programs, discounts, paid holidays, and paid time off, with some flexibility for earned wage access. Join Securitas to be part of a reputable security service provider committed to excellence and trust.
