The role of Security Receptionist at Allied Universal is a vital position that plays an essential part in the overall security program and daily operations of client sites. Operating as the first line of defense, the Security Receptionist is responsible for creating the first impression for guests, clients, and customers, and serves as a professional extension of the company's brand. This role requires an individual who can demonstrate model customer service skills, effectively resolve conflicts, and apply strong communication abilities to handle stressful situations with calm and critical thinking. The Security Receptionist is also expected to perform various administrative duties and provide support for special events, facility operations, and security functions.

Security Receptionists are tasked with carrying out safety and security procedures in alignment with site-specific policies and emergency response protocols. Their duties include conducting regular patrols, monitoring entries and exits to ensure safety, managing visitor badges with meticulous logging and auditing, and maintaining vigilance over alarms and potential security breaches. A key requirement is the ability to remain composed under pressure, recognize signs of intrusion, and respond proactively to incidents. Proficiency in computer literacy and telephone operations is necessary to efficiently handle inbound and outbound communication.

Employing an ethical approach, the Security Receptionist must maintain strict confidentiality concerning proprietary information while enforcing security and safety regulations politely and with maximum consideration. This role requires an administrative mindset to document daily activities, report critical events, and provide essential data to leadership teams and the Global Security Operations Center. The position offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 6 am to 11 am, paying $24 per hour. Preferred candidates will have 1-2 years of administrative experience, aligning well with the operational demands of this role. Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles
  • possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years verifiable experience
  • pass a background check according to federal, state, and local laws
  • pass a drug screen as permitted by law
  • comply with state or local licensing requirements if applicable
  • have a valid driver’s license for driving roles only
  • prior experience as a receptionist

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience preferred
  • strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • computer literacy and ability to handle inbound and outbound calls
  • previous experience as a receptionist
  • ability to work calmly under pressure
  • familiarity with basic security procedures

Job Duties

  • Provide customer service to clients by implementing safety and security procedures
  • respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and problem solve
  • conduct regular and random patrols around the premises
  • closely observe persons entering and exiting to protect employees and assets
  • ensure correct sign-in procedures and badge assignment for visitors
  • audit and log temporary visitor badges
  • mitigate and escort unwanted intruders
  • monitor visible and audible alarms
  • ensure all doors are secure
  • submit daily activity reports to leadership and the Global Security Operations Center
