In this role, you will primarily function as a Security Officer, performing essential duties such as patrolling, monitoring safety and security, responding to emergencies, controlling access to facilities, and assisting employees and visitors professionally. Simultaneously, you will receive training to assume Support Clerk responsibilities, which involve managing incoming security service requests, maintaining databases, coordinating with staffing teams, and providing exceptional client service. The hybrid nature of this role allows for cross-functional experience, enabling you to gain valuable administrative, client service, and operational insights while maintaining your active participation as a security team member.
Flexibility in availability between the key start windows (6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, or 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM) is critical, as Support Clerk duties are essential to the smooth operation and staffing of security assignments during scheduled absences or unforeseen staffing needs. Working hours can include weekends, holidays, evenings, and overnight shifts, reflecting the diverse scheduling needs inherent in security services.

Job Requirements

- associate degree in business administration or related field preferred
- three to five years of administrative experience preferred
- previous customer service or client-facing experience
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- strong organizational skills
- ability to multitask and prioritize
- comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- knowledge of Apple/macos applications a plus
- experience with FileMaker Pro or ability to learn
- data entry and administrative software experience preferred
- adherence to licensing requirements as per state and local laws

Job Duties
- perform security patrols on foot when scheduled
- escort vendors and contractors to designated areas
- monitor for unsafe conditions, security risks, and policy violations
- respond appropriately to emergencies, alarms, and incidents
- control access to the facility by monitoring entrances and exits
- assist employees, visitors, and contractors in a professional manner
- complete detailed incident reports, activity logs, and other required documentation
- communicate with supervisors, law enforcement, or emergency responders when necessary
- perform other security-related duties as assigned
- receive, process, and complete security service requests accurately and efficiently
- review requests for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures
- determine staffing and resource requirements based on operational priorities
- create and maintain post orders using established standards
- update and maintain FileMaker Pro databases and daily contractor logs
- coordinate with scheduling and leadership regarding staffing needs and request status
- modify service requests based on client changes, staffing shortages, or operational priorities
- provide timely updates to clients and internal leadership
- deliver exceptional customer service while building positive relationships with client stakeholders
- perform additional administrative and operational support duties as assigned
