L4 Security is currently seeking reliable and compassionate full and part-time Security Officers to serve their client in Louisville. This position transcends the traditional scope of security duties by incorporating customer service and community engagement into the role. The security officers will be responsible not only for protecting property and lives but also for fostering a respectful and peaceful atmosphere. They serve as the approachable faces of security at the client’s property, accurately monitoring surroundings, preventing safety issues, and providing assistance to visitors and attendees during high-volume events and regular operations. Candidates must utilize sound judgment, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure to maintain security and uphold client values effectively.
Successful applicants must be prepared to act diligently in preventing unauthorized access, responding to emergencies, and documenting incidents/observations meticulously. This role requires frequent interaction with client management, employees, and visitors, making effective communication a critical skill. The positions are well suited for individuals with backgrounds in law enforcement, corrections, military, fire and rescue, or emergency medical services, although private security professionals with strong records are also encourage to apply. L4 Security requires all prospective candidates to clear thorough background checks and drug screenings, with random drug screening continuing throughout employment. Starting wages range from $18 to $25 per hour, depending on contract specifics, post, and experience. Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- must be at least 21 years of age and legally possess a firearm
- must be able to operate a firearm, pass firearms qualification courses and receive appropriate licensures
- must have excellent communication skills
- must maintain professionalism and uniform standards
- must be able to provide excellent customer service verbally and in writing
- must have the ability to be alert and handle escalated and emergency situations appropriately
- must have the ability to multi-task
- must be able to operate a computer and other security devices
- must pass background check and drug screening
- must be able to obtain required training and licensures as required by client and state
- physical ability to patrol and stand for extended periods
Job Qualifications

- ability to patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to identify and address potential safety or security concerns
Job Duties
- Protect property and lives
- monitor entrance/egress of property
- identify visitors and ask for appropriate documentation
- guard against theft and maintain security
- respond to alarms and calls of distress
- complete accurate daily and incident reports by recording observations, information occurrences and surveillance activities
- prevent passage of prohibited vehicles into restricted areas
- prevent access to unauthorized persons
- inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use
- regulate and monitor building systems
- inspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and working
- complete all required security logs
- communicate effectively with client management, employees, and visitors
- support a peaceful and respectful atmosphere consistent with the church's mission and values
