We are currently seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Lobby Receptionist in Boston, MA, to join our team at a leading healthcare location. This stationary front desk role is essential in maintaining a professional and welcoming environment. As a Front Desk Officer, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff, greeting entrants, managing access, and supporting daily frontline security operations. The position requires excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong customer service abilities to address security-related concerns effectively.
In this part-time role, flexibility is key. You can build a schedule that fits your lifestyle and explore new opportunities through our unique Claim a Shift platform. The role operates primarily during late evening to early morning hours, specifically from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, offering a competitive pay rate of $24.00 per hour.

You will be responsible for monitoring facility access, verifying identification and visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate logs of arrivals, departures, and deliveries. Your calm and professional demeanor will be vital as you respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations, escalating them appropriately to site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
This role also involves supporting front desk operations by answering phones, giving directions, and ensuring security documentation's accuracy. Your visible presence at the front desk serves as a deterrent to unauthorized access and disruptive activity, while your vigilance in reporting unusual behavior, maintenance issues, or policy violations helps maintain the integrity and safety of the facility.

Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience
- Provide proof of high school diploma or GED
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Pass background investigation in accordance with applicable laws
- Subject to drug screening as permitted by law
- Meet licensing requirements required by state or local laws if applicable
- Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only

Job Duties

- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations calmly and effectively, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership
- Answer phones, provide directions, and support front desk operations by maintaining accurate logs, reports, and required documentation related to security activities
- Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations through appropriate channels
