The role currently available is for a Full-Time Security Officer based in Norman, Oklahoma, providing security services primarily at a student housing community. This position requires candidates to be dependable and adaptable professionals who thrive in dynamic environments. The Full-Time Security Officer will be responsible for conducting interior and exterior patrols, monitoring access controls, and responding swiftly to any incidents or emergencies. These security officers ensure the safety and security of the property by maintaining perimeter security, securing restricted amenities during non-operational hours, and collaborating with property management and law enforcement when necessary. The schedule includes night shifts on Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday through Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with open availability preferred to accommodate changing business needs.

This role offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $18.00 with potential for adjustments post-acceptance and comes with a comprehensive benefits package. Job Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must successfully pass an extensive background screening and company-standard drug screen
  • Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing assignments and work independently
  • Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience is preferred
  • State security license, if required by state regulations

Job Duties

  • Conduct interior and exterior patrols of a student housing community
  • Secure entrances, exits, and maintain perimeter security
  • Monitor CCTV cameras and access control systems
  • Investigate alarms and respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
  • Ensure pools and other restricted amenities are secured during non-operational hours
  • Report vandalism, maintenance issues, and safety concerns
  • Complete accurate incident, activity, and daily reports
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional security presence
  • Respond to emergencies and support incident response procedures
  • Support Fire Watch assignments when required
  • Safely operate a motor vehicle while performing Rover or mobile patrol duties
  • Collaborate with property management, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed
