Job Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
- Have 5 or more years of security-related experience
- Have 4 or more years of military or law enforcement experience or possess a criminal justice degree
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate
- Have supervisory experience
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response actions appropriate to an armed post at a utilities location
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or local responders as needed
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns
- Monitor entrances, gates, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations or suspicious behavior according to post instructions
- Support Allied Universal standards by completing required reports, maintaining awareness of site conditions, and following all post orders, use-of-force guidelines, and equipment procedures for an armed assignment
